I was born just outside of Chicago, and I have loved being involved in any form of sport beginning from when I learned how to walk.

I trained in Emergency Medicine in Denver, and I was drawn to Sports Medicine because of my interest in connecting patients with acute injuries to effective therapy, outpatient follow up, and preventative care. I also loved fieldside coverage, and its power in connecting me with the community that I hoped to serve in the ED.

One of the things I love most about sports is how much you learn from the team around you, and that could not be more true within sports medicine and the O'Connor fellowship program. I was drawn to this program by its focus on clinical/ultrasound curriculum, access to incredible fieldside coverage, and its focus on training leaders in medical education.

Outside of work, I enjoy trail running, astronomy, and finding different cold bodies of water to plunge into!

Fun Fact: The first time I tried skydiving, I lost my instructor mid-air and had to solo-pull my parachute

Areas of Interest: Medical education, Preventative Medicine, Mental Health in Sports

I was born in Maryland and have been passionate about sports for as long as I can remember, with basketball as my first love. When an injury ended my college career, it opened the door to another passion—Sports Medicine.

While training in Family Medicine at the University of Maryland Capital Region Health, I loved reconnecting with the athletic community as a provider and found joy in teaching residents and medical students. As an outside rotator with the Stanford O’Connor Sports Medicine Fellowship, I was thrilled to see the outstanding mentorship, well-rounded experience caring for athletes, the comprehensive ultrasound curriculum, and numerous opportunities in teaching and precepting. To me, this reflected the program’s commitment to developing excellent clinicians and future leaders in sports medicine and medical education, and solidified my choice for fellowship.

Outside of work, I enjoy intramural sports, grilling, and exploring the outdoors!

Fun Fact: While on a medical mission trip, I climbed the tallest mountain in Ghana.
